Plum paper kites

THE PROMPT

An overhead ornamental still life of folded handmade paper kites spread across a warm ivory worktable. One large plum-colored diamond kite rests in the lower right, three small antique-gold swallowtail kites fan across the upper left, and thin black strings weave graceful open curves between them. A ceramic spool and a pair of blunt brass shears sit near the far edge. Visible paper fibers, delicate hand-painted edges, a few botanical embossing marks and generous clean spacing. Wide graphic composition with objects arranged at distinctly different angles. Visual medium: Decorative ink-and-watercolor illustration on textured paper, flowing organic lines, luminous ivory shapes and intricate but readable botanical patterning. Palette: warm ivory, black, antique gold, muted plum. Lighting: soft sunset glow suggested with foil-like highlights. All human or humanlike figures are clearly adult and fully clothed. Original character and object designs. One coherent finished image, with no added lettering, logos, signatures or watermarks.
