The season arch

THE PROMPT

A huge broken stone arch floats above a terraced orchard valley. Hanging roots and small glass rain collectors trail from the arch. Autumn copper foliage fills one diagonal region while fresh green growth gathers along a winding stream. Asymmetric environmental composition, dreamlike but coherent perspective and rich painted detail. No faces formed by the landscape. Visual medium: Richly painted illustration, controlled brush texture, polished focal detail, simplified value grouping and layered atmospheric color. Preserve illustrated edges rather than a plain photographic finish. Palette: slate gray, spring green, autumn copper. Lighting: soft storm light opening into clear late-afternoon sun. All human or humanlike figures are clearly adult and fully clothed. Original character and object designs. One coherent finished image, with no added lettering, logos, signatures or watermarks.
